Two weeks ago, Quaffs launched the first version of Clubs. The clubs are very basic but functional for now, however more functions and features will be out when we have stabilized everything else. Click here to see the Wazzup about Clubs.

For some of you who are fairly new to Quaffs or have not explored the whole of the site yet, here are some quick tips for you. Did you know that you are able to edit your text in some areas of your account with just a click?

So, the main motive of this Wazzup is to tell you all the hidden spots in Quaffs which you might not know of!

In your Profile Page,

1) Display Name - When you click on the text, you are able to edit and save straight away without moving away from this page. Do keep in mind that when you change your display name to something else, your friends might not be able to recognize you! So be sure to use a name which people will know that is it you.

Hey guys! How have you been doing? Today is the third day of July! The weather has been pretty sunny isnt it? In case some of you who might not know, Quaffs Team had a mini celebration (launch of V2 and clubs) last friday at Teneriffe (Laurel Wood Ave). It was a simple celebration - everyone involved in making Quaffs what it is today was present.

Eric called for a buffet, the food was pretty good - we had a whole range of food to choose from and filled our stomach to our hearts' content. For me, I particularly liked the Dory Fillet in Exotic Pineapple & Plum Sauce. Fish is always a number 1 dish for me.



I arrived at the venue late since I had my weekly Japanese classes in school. So it seemed that the celebration started off with Eric showing some slideshows of the journey Quaffs has ventured so far, since 2007. After the slideshow, we watched 'Meet the Robinsons'. Though I've seen it before, the movie never fails to put a smile on my face. I love cartoons! And not forgetting the amazing ending song - Little Wonders by Rob Thomas.


'Meet the Robinsons' was the movie that inspired Eric during the journey of Quaffs. The movie basically reminds people never to let failures get in your way, and that it is okay to fail because when you fail, you learn from your mistakes and the important thing is to keep on moving forward.

The movie ends with a quotation from Walt Disney..

"Around here, we don't look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths."

And now...the moment you've all been waiting for...

Hola amigos!! That’s ‘Hello friends!’ in Spanish. How was your week? For us Quaffs, we are proud to let you know that the clubs has finally gone live!! For the many past few months, the team had been consistently testing out the clubs function to make sure that everything is working properly.

The Quaffs team hopes for every user to have a ‘happy’ experience whenever you visit Quaffs, which is why whenever we do the testing, we make sure to put ourselves in your shoes!

 Yes, the topic of the week is Clubs!!

Firstly, anyone and everyone can create a club at Quaffs. Just click on the Clubs tab that will direct you to the Clubs homepage. In the homepage, you get to see this – a main banner for Clubs, the Qool Clubs and most importantly, the ‘Create A Club’ button!


Click on the 'Clubs' tab to reach the Clubs homepage.


Click on the 'Create a Club' button to get started.

Once you click on the button, you will be directed to another page. From there, simply follow the three steps that we have set up for you, very quick and easy, don’t worry, all you have to determine whether you want anyone or only club members who can view the club content, how you want people to join your club, and lastly, your club details!


Step 1: Determine who can view your club content: Anyone or only Club Members


Step 2: Determine how people can join your club: With or without approval from admin


Step 3: Fill in your club details

Click on the ‘Create Club’ button and your club is up and running in just a minute!

So what’s next? There are many things you can do in your club. You could customize and upload your own Club banner and avatar! Just keep your avatar at 198 px by 198 px and the banner at 740 px by 80 px for the best optimum size. Don’t forget to keep the left of the banner empty as your Club name and description will be displayed there.

As a club creator, you have the power to appoint members to be admins and also the power to kick anyone out from the club, should they prove themselves to be not constructive.

Post discussion topics for members to interact and discuss topics related to your club and post club Wazzups to tell your members about something. Don’t forget the quick and easy way of posting an announcement to tell all the members.


Post New Announcement with just a click on the button.

So, go ahead and create a club of your own and exchange information about the common thing you and your fellow members are interested in.

Hello guys! How is your week? Time really flies, it is already halfway through 2008! But Quaffs will keep on working to improve the site.

Alright, in case some of you do not know, Quaffs has a very cool Privacy Settings function. For those of you who do not like to show your photos or blog entries to just anyone, we have the almost perfect settings for you :)

First off, you have to click on the 'My Settings' button in the Control Panel.

The button will lead you to this page. Click on the 'Privacy' button that will show up the Privacy Settings. In this picture below, you can see that you can choose to set your profile details, photos or wazzups to three different levels - Anyone, Only My Friends, or Only Myself.

Let's say I set 'My Wazzups' settings to 'Only Myself'. The picture below that shows the profile page, is what you see when you are not on my friends list or not logged in. You do not have the permission to view my Wazzups.

Now, the 'Photos' settings. See the difference? If I set my Photos to Only My Friends, the picture on the left shows my Photo Gallery if the viewer is a friend. But if you are not in my friend list, you will not be able to see my Photo Gallery, as seen in the picture on the right below.

Hey there! How have your week been so far? Quaffs week had been hectic. The team had been working hard to get some stuff like the WSU contest going to make it great and awesome for you!

In case you haven’t realized, What Say U? is a short post answer to a question that Quaffs has came up with for you to talk about. Every season, we give you five questions to choose from. It is up to you whether you want to answer one or all five questions. Once you’ve answered the questions, in order for you to win the iPod nano, you have to get people to give you a Thumbs Up via the Qool Factor.



The higher your Qool Factor is, the chances of winning that iPod nano are definitely higher! In addition to that, if you had given a Thumbs Up to a winning entry, you get another chance of winning an iPod Shuffle! For more information, click here to find out more.

Speaking of Qool Factor, it is Quaffs way of telling someone ‘Hey that’s cool stuff!’ So everyone you find something cool, be it a Wazzup or a photo, give it a Thumbs Up via the Qool Factor. If you see something that’s not cool, give it a Thumbs Down. But of course, I’m sure there isn’t anything much in here that’s worth a Thumbs Down!



take this picture above as an example. I posted a video in my Wazzup, people find it cool and gave me a Thumbs Up (that green button). yes, 5 people find the video cool.

Also, if you ever want to change your mind, you can always Thumbs Up/Down depending on which you did first. If you Thumbs Up someone, you can Thumbs Down later if you change your mind. But I foresee that this will be a rare case.
