Did you know you could choose to customize your profile skin according to what suits your personality best? John has been working really hard to design as many skins as possible (his goal is to create 10 skins every week, and that means 2 skins per day!) to cater to the many different individual personalities.

When you first joined Quaffs, your profile is set to a default skin. It’s black, cool and everything, but why not add a little spice to your profile to show who you really are?

To choose the skin that suits you best, all you have to do is to just hover your cursor at the <My Profile> until the rest of the navigations appear. Then click on <Customize Skin>.

You will be directed to the page where all the profile skins are displayed. Simply click on any one which you think could best represent yourself. When you click on the skin, you will be shown a preview of the skin in the background, as shown below.



Once you’ve decided on the skin that you like, click on . It’s that simple. As shown below, this is how your profile will look like with the awesome skins!





We have received feedbacks that some of you have encountered some troubles with the saving of profile skins. It’s probably one of the bugs that our programming team has yet to capture. No worries, the team will get it fixed as soon as possible! If you’re using Safari on Mac, the bug has been solved already ☺

Heyo! Finally, this is the moment we've all been waiting for. Quaffs v2 is now live! Okay, it went live a couple of weeks ago, so this is kind of redundant to be so hyped up and all. Nevertheless, welcome to Quaffs, if you are a new user; and welcome back to Quaffs, if you are a loyal user :D how do you like the new look?

Have I introduced myself yet? Nay, I don't think so. My name is Elaine, and I'm an intern in Quaffs. I'll be working in Quaffs at least until August. So, you will be seeing me whether you like it or not :P

Enough said about me. I was told to write a Wazzup in Team Quaffs Blog. shoot, i'm getting all too wordy and boring huh? Gahh, I'm suppose to think of something to write about.

Let's talk about the OoDs! It is afterall the system in Quaffs that brings us together, finding friends through shared interests.

For the benefit of new users, OoDs stands for Objects of Desire. Yeahhh, have you ever felt the desire for something and want it so much to share all the facts about it with your friends? Well, Quaffs has answered your prayers. LOL, okay that sounded like we are some kind of God, but no, don't be mistaken. We are no Gods. We are just like you, human beings, working hard to earn our keeps.

You ask, "How do I use this OoD system?" I say just think of something you really like to have, say for example, a Sony Cybershot Camera. You don't exactly know what is the full name of this camera.

Simply type "Sony Cybershot Camera" in the OoD searchbar. A quick search will show you all kinds of items related to Sony Cybershot Camera. Once you found the one you like, just click on the button that says "Add to OoDs".

You will be directed to the individual page of that object and click on that button "Add to my OoDs". You will be asked to write a review on that object and then you're up and running to have your first OoD!

Alrighty, that's all for now. I have to stop here cuz it's Friday and I have a Jap class to attend! I hope my first entry isn't just about blabbering. I think I'm blabbering.

Before there was Quaffs, before anyone has heard of "OoDs", "Wazzups" or "Blurbs", we thought that social networking could be more interesting and meaningful. We believe that people in a vibrant and authentic community should be kept connected through areas of shared interests. It should become so easy for anyone in this new community  to discover things they love, share their experiences and get to know like-minded friends. And that was how things got started.

Many people asked us whether the word " quaffs" really exists or is it a word that we made up on our own. Interestingly, "Quaffs" is a real English word found in the dictionary. Quaffs actually means to drink heartily but it's not often used in our everyday speech. Be it cool wazzups, beautiful photos or favourite Objects of Desire (OoD), we hope that users who come here can enjoy and find the things they love. And it will only be more meaningful if you got great friends whom you can share the good things with.



Later, we thought it will be cool to have a Team Quaffs photo. We got John, a budding designer from Temasek Polytechnic to take a photo of us right outside the Quaffs HQ. Somehow, the photo was kinda of blur and we decided to go ahead with it and turn it into a "special effects" photo. By the way, if you do not know, many of the skins you see in Quaffs' skin library were actually created by John. These skins are available for use by all Quaffs members. Some interesting themes include soccer, lampchop and Zen Wood. Drop us a hint if you wanna contribute some interesting designs and themes for Quaffs.
